Welcome to our windbreak/shelterbelt project photos. We started this project in 2011 and completed it four years later, in 2015. The trees and shrubs protect our fields from wind-carried herbicides and pesticides that are sprayed on the fields of the adjoining farms, and they provide habitat and food for birds and insects. They also provide shade for our livestock during the summer, and block wind-drifted snow. We hope you enjoy these photos. Tap or click each photo to read the captions.
