The Gotland breed of sheep originated in Sweden, and was only recently introduced into the United States. Gotlands are friendly and curious sheep, easygoing and enjoyable to have around.
Gotland sheep are known for having beautiful lustrous wool, which is fine and silky. The wool is perfect for handspinners and fiber artists. Gotland sheep are sheared twice per year, in the late winter and the early fall.
Our Gotland herd consists of 5 ewes and 2 wethers.
If you would like more information or are interested in purchasing fleece or roving from our flock of sheep, please contact us via email.
Wool from our fall 2018 shearing is at the mill! Roving and yarn will be available in April of 2019.
